Anti Reflective AR glass and touch screen options- including Hardened Glass and EMI filters
GDS Inc. understands optics and we understand that no single solution for a display is the right solution for every application. This is why GDS offers a wide range of options for its Clearview series. The Clearview series comes standard with 3mm AR coated glass, with an average surface reflection of less than .4%. Some applications need more; so we offer AR coated glass in a number of options. It can be specified larger than the display and it can be order with custom screen printing. Need thicker glass? GDS can provide 6mm AR glass as well as heat strengthened glass for added protection. For EMI protection, GDS offers ITO EMI and Mesh EMI for noise supression. Heater glass can also be supplied and combinations of EMI and heaters can also be custom ordered.
Some applications cannot use bonded glass. For these applications, GDS can provide the Clearview series without bonded glass; though we would recommend AR coated film for the front of the display. Other options available are listed below but if you don't see the combination you are looking for, the GDS engineering staff can source out many exotic combinations.
Touch screen options are also available for the Clearview product line. Our standard offering is 5 wire resistive touch but Glass covered Resistive, Surface Capacitive and Projected Capacitive are just some of the technologies available to the user. Addtionally, GDS can laminate EMI and heater windows to the back of the touch screens.
Contrast Enhancing Windows In addition to our standard 1.1mm and 3mm AR glass, GDS can offer a wide range of custom and semi-custom glass products. They include but are not limited to the following:
AR Glass: Heat or Chemically Strengthened Diffusion levels between 90 and 105 Gloss Up to 6mm in thickness
EMI filters and Heaters: EMI ITO: 13 ohms/sq. AR and Heater glass AR and ITO glass AR and ITO and Heater Mesh EMI
IR Blocking: 3mm-6mm 92% transmissive in visible light 70% blocking of near-IR
Privacy Film Added 3M louvered film can be laminated behind either windows or touch screens prior to optical bonding.
